Tummy Tuck Local Anesthesia

Need opinions on the procedure of tummy tuck.?
I am married and mother of five children who were all more than ten pounds at birth. I'm thinking about a tummy tuck due to excess skin under my navel. I wonder what are peoples thoughts on this and also, people who had done this, how to handle the anesthesia. I had knee surgery once, but I think it was done under local anesthesia. Anywho, I'm terrified of stories I've heard of people going to surgery. Is it really so bad?
I had a tummy tuck total almost 5 months ago. I would say, if you have time, money, and support. Do it! I'm very glad I did! I went to Hawaii last month and wore a bikini all the time! I was not affraid to take off my shirt! Surgery …. I can handle pain well (I had my first child naturally without epidural and not shed a tear), so I do not know if it was right for me to say that not everything was so painful. but the only reason I say that NEVER have voluntary surgery again, is the anesthesia. I did not like at all. I entered the room operations, which had me on the table, put the mask on me, breathe in a couple of times, and went to sleep. The awakening was the worst thing ever! I remember that sleep and listen to the nurse tells me to wake up and I could not open my eyes! I was so tired, I could not open his eyes or talk or anything. My boyfriend was there, but I do not know yet. I do not remember breathing and thought to myself that I'm not breathing. Then, suddenly, I heard my boyfriend says "breathe Hunny." And I took a deep breath, and spent a couple of times. It was scary, but the nurses do not seem concerned about that. after I woke up enough to breathe, which is about all I could do. My body was heavy. I took a good 3-4 hours to eat a few bites of applesause and take some painkillers, then dressing. That was a task! haha. After that I went home. I slept all the way home, went upstairs to my home and laid down on the couch and slept the rest the day. After the first day, everything went very smooth. I never had that much pain, it was more like I was too sore …. like I did a million crunches. But I had the opportunity to sit and stand on my own, walking home, and so forth. After 4 days I was really standing. I tagged along with my boyfriend to the store Stores on day 4. I had to walk slow, stay in your car for support, but otherwise was fine. After 2 weeks, I went to pick up my daughter for a year age (with care) and after a month I would say that was 100% back to my normal daily routine (I am a stay at home mom). I had my wallet almost every days until I went to Hawaii at 3 months after surgery. I have not used it since and I feel great! Good luck! if you have any questions, please email me!
